• Borrowers' rights

Borrowers are legally entitled to a 10-day consideration period before accepting the loan offer, and the sale is subject to the granting of a loan. If the buyer is unable to obtain financing, the sellers must return all sums paid by the buyer (article L 312-5 of French Consumer Law). The loan offer sent to you by Crédit Foncier is the only document having the value of a commitment to grant you the real-estate loan. You are entitled to a 10-day period to decide whether to accept or refuse this loan offer.

You are also entitled to a 7-day period of retraction for all real-estate acquisition. The payment of money is forbidden during this period except for new construction and in the case of the use of a professional agent. In this case, if the buyer changes his mind, all sums of money paid shall be returned within a maximum of 21 days. Offers to buy real-estate accompanied by the payment of money are forbidden by law. On reception of our loan offer, you must respect the legal 10-day consideration period before signing it.
